A return to hand-written notes by learning to read & write

Google Research has introduced a model that digitises handwritten notes by capturing the precise trajectories of pen strokes, rather than relying on traditional optical character recognition (OCR). This approach preserves the unique, editable aspects of handwriting, making it possible to store and organise handwritten content in a digital, vectorised format without the need for specialised equipment. The model enables a realistic digital representation of handwriting that maintains the look and feel of original notes, supporting better integration with other digital tools.
